Judson W. Robinson, Sr. REALTIST® of the Year Award – Recipient: Kimberley Barnes-Henson
In gratitude to Judson W. Robinson Sr., this prestigious award is named in honor of the Houston Black Real Estate Association Founder and First President. We present this award to a Broker/REALTIST® who, in good standing, has consistently supported the Houston Black Real Estate Association through their time, talents, energy, and finances. This person has shown a significant concern for principles of fair, equal, and affordable housing for the benefit of all people. In addition, this person demonstrates excellent leadership capabilities and has been an asset to the entire real estate association.
Newcomer of the Year Award – Recipient: Lawona Cartwright
This award recognizes the REALTIST® member and licensee with less than three (3) years as a member in good standing. This person has been active, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the organization’s objectives. We proudly present this award to encourage new member involvement with the association.
Charles Thomas New Home Sales Counselor of the Year Award – Recipient: Tracy Faultry
In recognition as an outstanding New Home Sales Counselor and a loyal supporter of The Houston Black Real Estate Association, we named this esteemed award in honor of Charles Thomas. HBREA presents this award to a New Home Sales Counselor/Affiliate member who has worked on Community Outreach and Member Involvement activities—promoting affordable housing products in our communities, as well.

Scholarship Award
Three Scholarship winners 2 in college currently pursuing Real Estate degrees and 1 high school senior going into college to pursue a finance degree. His interest is mortgage banking. Gave away total of $4000 to $1000 to each in college, and $2000 to high-school student.
Covid Relief Fund
Of the Covid relief fund each received $1000.00. We had 5k for Scholarships but only 3 eligible scholars so $1000 was moved to the Covid relief fund to assist another family since we had so many apply. We gave away $7000 total didn’t have a chance to change the signs to 4k and 3k.
